“Life in Residential Care Facilities” is about seeing Residential Care Facilities (RCFs) through the eyes of residents, families, staff, operators, and service providers.

Trough this four-part series, you will hear stories about life inside RCFs. We invite you to reflect on the ways in which RCFs enable caring relationships and how health and social services could be better coordinated so all residents have the supports they need to live safely and with dignity.

We extend our sincere thanks to Shelley, Katherine, Natalie, Anna, John, Amanda, Rosie, Kim, Judi, Kathy, Calvin, Sonia, Helga, Christine, and Mary (in order of appearance) who volunteered their time and shared their stories.

RCF Video Series

This video series is based on the findings from the Juravinski Integrated Residential Care Initiative and would not be possible without the generous donation by the late Margaret and Charles Juravinski through the Juravinski Research Institute. Our goal is to raise awareness and motivate action to increase equitable access to primary and community care within RCFs, and ultimately, improving resident and staff health and well-being.
